Bulcock Beach
It's so hard to pick a favourite, as I like so many. This is definitely in the top 5
Mel sent me a text message in the afternoon saying she was bored and did I want to come over. So I charged my battery for as long as I could (15mins) before I got impatient and this is what my low-batt camera came up with. It was a beautiful, and cold, evening. Following this was watching Better Homes & Gardens while eating fish and chips and then "Four Brothers" with some chocolate pudding and ice-cream.
There were plans for tonight (being Saturday), but nobody (other than Mel and I) bothered to make an effort. So I had Thai with my family and the wally's.

I love all these photos. They're all incredibly pretty.
I'm quite impressed with them, they came out well. There were a couple that weren't so good, a bit blurry.
I came across your site while looking for pictures of Bulcock Beach. Then I saw your photos. They are amazing! I have always loved Bulcock Beach and Caloundra, I have been going there since I was a child.By the way, the girl in the photo is gorgeous. Is that the same girl whose site this is? It looks like wintertime there, is that right? The light is beautiful there at that time of year.
Anonymous: Please leave your name next time. I like to think that I'm writing to an actual person, and plus it'd be good to put a name to the nice comment you left.
Thank you for the kind comments. Bulcock Beach is definitely a beautiful place. The whole Sunshine Coast is. I'm the writer of this blog (my name is Stephanie) and the girl in the photos is my best friend. When the photos were taken it was winter time. Though with the wet weather we have been having lately, it certainly feels a bit like winter instead of summer.
Sorry Stephanie, I didn't realise that it would show anonymous on the screen like that. My name is Wayne. I love going up there and would like to live there one day if I can. I know what you mean about the summer feeling like winter, I was staying in Landsborough for Christmas and there was so much rain and it was cold! I will try and get up there for the Australia Day long weekend since the weather has fined up.
Well, Wayne it is very nice to meet you. I'm glad that you came back to this post. Where do you live currently? The rain over the summer was insane, it was a nice change, but not always appreciated. Did you make it for the Australia Day long weekend? It was beautiful weather on the day, we had a BBQ in Kings Beach Park, I'll be posting photos soon.
I live at The Gap,which is in the north west of Brisbane. Unfortunately, I didn't make it up there on the weekend, but I wanted to. I ended up going out to Pine Rivers and going for a drive and taking some photos. I had a feeling that you might be having a bbq near the beach somewhere... Look forward to seeing the photos! By the way... I checked out some of your black and white photography, happy birthday to your friend Mel! I'm keen to get more into photography myself. I'm dabbling a bit at the moment cos I go bushwalking and there's always something to take a photo of... but it's a cheap digital camera so the pictures are not very high quality...but you've got to start somewhere, right? I'm looking forward to getting a better camera and really having a good play with it then...
I know the Gap, not a bad place to live. I didn't frequent there, or the north side very much. I lived on the south side for 4 years while studying. My black and white photos are only on a cheap old 35mm camera that I picked up at a recycle market. Sometimes the photos on a film camera turn out better than some digital cameras. You could always go back to them for a while. It's exciting to see what the photos come out like. I'd love to get into photography more too. One day, I might take a course.. one day. I hope I don't disappoint with the Australia Day photos.
Yes you can't beat the good old SLR camera...and black and white is something I haven't experimented with, so I might give that a try one day. I'll be in Caloundra this Saturday to take some photos... I'll probably hang out at Bulcock beach and go for a swim, if it's good weather.
